"Delicious meeting" at Yerevan Regional State College No. 1

On December 2, it was a "holiday" again for the "Culinary" students of Yerevan Regional State College No. 1. The guests of the college were Garik Gevorgyan and Ruben Poghosyan, members of the "Development and Preservation of Armenian Culinary Traditions" NGO, led by President Sedrak Mamulyan.

First, a professional, cognitive conversation was held between already experienced chefs and college students, future chefs, during which the guests presented the importance of the "Chef" profession and the characteristics of Armenian cuisine, told about the program they recently presented Armenian cuisine and traditions in Turkmenistan, Argentina and Moscow. :

Then followed the most awaited part of the meeting, "Master classes" by leading Armenian chefs. Future chefs had a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the preparation of three traditional dishes of the rich and unique Armenian cuisine.

The visit of professional chefs to the college and conducting master classes left an indelible impression on the young chefs. Another step was taken in the direction of improvement of professional knowledge and development of skills, which will surely have a continuation.

At first future cooks (students) and the guests talked about the importance of “Cook” specialty as well as peculiarities of Armenian Cuisine. The guests also spoke about the project when they had represented Armenian Cuisine in Middle Asia, Argentina and Moscow.
