2017 On May 19-21, on the initiative of the RA Ministry of Education and Science, a scientific conference entitled "Professional education and training - a prerequisite for the empowerment of remote and border (border) settlements" was organized in the city of Berd, Tavush region, RA. The venue was chosen to attract public attention to border and border settlements and to activate the local environment. The event was attended by representatives of RA state and local self-government bodies, business sector and professional educational institutions of Tavush region, as well as international and local organizations and NGOs.
