In 2021, the "Business and Education Partnership" (BEC) Foundation supported the National Center for the Development of Vocational Education and Training in the framework of the German "Vocational Education and Training — Cooperation in the South Caucasus" program. On April 28, a workshop was held at the Lori Regional State College on the topics "Insurance of students of educational institutions and "Student/student societies" and "Development of cooperation between VET institutions and employers (SchoolEconomy)".
The workshop was attended by directors and deputy directors of primary (vocational) and secondary vocational training (VET) institutions in Lori region, as well as representatives of employers and "ROSGOSSTRAKH-ARMENIA", "SIL INSURANCE" insurance companies. The purpose of the workshop was to develop cooperation and dialogue between educational institutions and businessmen, to promote the effective organization of work-based learning (WBL) and to discuss the issue of student insurance in educational institutions.
The workshop was the continuation of 2021. On February 12-13, a workshop was held in Aghveran, in which the leading representatives of "ROSGOSSTRAKH-ARMENIA", "SIL INSURANCE" insurance companies, "YUCOM", "TELECOM ARMENIA" telecommunication companies and other sectors, directors of VET institutions participated. During the workshop, the issue of possible insurance for the students of the "Student/Student Companies" created by the pilot program in educational institutions was discussed, as well as the possibilities of VET-business cooperation.
In the second part of the workshop, a certificate awarding ceremony was held. Letters of thanks were handed over in 2020. to the VET institutions of Lori marz, who actively participated in the courses organized with the support of the YMCA in December, as well as to the students who are members of the management councils and student councils.
The event ended with the exhibition of the "Armenian bells" clothing collection created by students of the final year of the "Clothing Modeling and Designing" specialty of Lori Regional State College.
