Meeting with the RA Minister of Education and Science

Today, RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan received the Armenian delegation of the "World Skills"-2015 international competition. The 43rd "World Skills" competition, which is being held for the first time in Latin America, will be held on August 11-16 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Currently, World Skills has 75 member countries, of which 62 will participate in the competition and 59 will compete.

The Republic of Armenia became a member of the "World Skills" international organization in 2012. The national team of Armenia (with the participation of college students) participated for the first time in 2013. At the 42nd World Skills competition held in Leipzig, Germany, in the fields of jewelry, fashion technology and cooking.

At the 43rd "Skills of the World" competition, the Armenian team will present the following specialties: mechatronics, IT network systems management and jewelry.

The financing of the participation of the Armenian team is carried out at the expense of the state budget.

Yulia Stakyan, coordinator of the WS Armenia program of the GIZ organization, also participated in the meeting with the minister. This organization covers the transportation costs of the team.
