Closing ceremony of the "Skills of Armenia" national competition

2015 On November 27-28, Yerevan State College of Informatics hosted the "Skills of Armenia" national competition in three majors: Mechatronics, Web Design, and IT Network Systems Management.

This year, for the first time, the students of the American University of Armenia participated in the competition.

The competition of the national stage is held for the 4th time.

During the event, the winners of the competition were awarded with portable computers-tablets by Nairi Harutyunyan, the chief of staff of the RA Ministry of Education and Science, and the other participants with incentive prizes. General Director of "Yerevan Jewelry Factory-1 Gnomon" OJSC Emil Grigoryan presented gold, silver and bronze medals to the award winners on behalf of the factory. All participants of the competition received certificates of participation.

Armenia joined this world structure as an adjacent member in 2012, with the support of the German International Cooperation Company (GIZ GmbH), within the framework of the "Skills of Armenia" project.

The "Skills of Armenia" project unites the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, the National Center for VET Development and social partners - the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Armenia, the Union of Businessmen (Employers) and Industrialists of Armenia, the Union of Employers of Armenia.

It is possible that the winners of the national "Skills of Armenia" competition, selected from the three professions, will participate in the 45th international "World Skills" competition in 2017. For the third time, students of VET institutions of Armenia will have the opportunity to present themselves and compete with students from 75 other countries.
