"Global Skills" competition as a result of the best practice of cooperation between the RA private sector and VET sector

On October 19, a workshop was held on the topic "Global skills competition as a result of the best practices of cooperation between the RA private sector and the VET sector", which was attended by RA Minister of Education Armen Ashotyan, international experts from the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ), the National Center for VET Development, as well as VET sector representatives and experts.

At the beginning of the event, primary (vocational) and secondary professional educational institutions presented their works at the professions exhibition.

The participants of the workshop were welcomed by the RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan. He noted that the expectations from the private sector are not purely charitable, but investment, including in the form of programs. "Actually, the education sector is not a spending sector, but an investment sector. Every project involving the private sector is the best investment in human capital development, better economic and societal prospects. Therefore, we are ready to expand the scope of our cooperation with international structures and the private sector, ensuring the consistent development of the sector, if not rapidly," Armen Ashotyan said.

The participants of the event were also welcomed by the head of the Armenian team of the GIZ "Development of the Private Sector in the South Caucasus" project, Kornelia Skokov.

The event was full of lively discussions and proposals.
