On August 21-22, the "Strategic Development Agency" NGO together with the German International Cooperation Company (GIZ) organized a workshop on the topic "Experimenting dual training in VET" within the framework of the "Modernization of vocational education and training in the field of agriculture in Armenia" (MAVETA) program.
Principals of six colleges included in the MAVETA program and relevant specialists and representatives of partner institutions participated in the workshop.
The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize with the informational, methodological and logistical bases necessary for the organization of dual education, legislative changes and legal documents developed within the framework of the above-mentioned program.
During the workshop, the experts of the "Development of the Private Sector and Vocational Education and Training in the South Caucasus" program of the German International Cooperation Society (GIZ) presented the formats of diaries necessary for the practical training of students, as well as the standard forms of contracts necessary for employer-educational institution-student cooperation.
The MAVETA program is funded by a broad coalition of international and local organizations led by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), including the Austrian Development Agency (ADA), the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Government of Armenia, Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER ) NGO, Izmirlian Foundation, "Strategic Development Agency" (SDA) NGO and "Vanand Agro" CJSC.
The implementing partners are the German Development Agency (GIZ) and the Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER) NGO, with the involvement of RDA and the School of Agricultural, Forestry and Food Sciences of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (HAFL).
