Summary of EU-RA cooperation in the field of VET
On December 16, in Erebuni Plaza Business Center, the awareness of the results of the 2007-2015 EU support for the reforms of the RA VET sector was held, which was attended by the beneficiaries involved in the sector, as well as many high-ranking guests.
Armen Ashotyan, Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Armenia, who was present at the event, assured once again during his speech that the support of the European Union will not suffer due to the change in the policy of the Armenian government, and the investments made by the European Union in the field of education will continue in the future.
The head of the European Union delegation in Armenia, Trayan Hristia, was also present at the event, who in his speech referred to the goals and future plans of EU budget support for the field of primary and secondary professional education.
Tatevik Gasparyan, director of the National VET Development Center, briefly presented the role of the center in the reforms implemented in the VET sector in the last 6 years, as well as the challenges that the center has set before itself.
In his speech, Paruyr Santrosyan, director of Yerevan Regional State College No. 1, reflected on the works done in the last few years, summarizing the positive changes implemented in the college.
During the event, reference was also made to the "Vocational Education and Training" portal (vetarmenia.am). Artak Poghosyan, director of the National Center for Educational Technologies, presented the creation and launch of the portal in his speech.
