On September 10-15, the 47th international competition "World Skills" was held in Lyon, France, in which 1333 young professionals from 66 countries participated.
The Armenian national team participated in the 47th "World Skills" competition held in Lyon, France with the following skills.
- "Creating mobile applications" — Armine Hakobyan, a graduate of the Yerevan State College of Informatics,
- "Web technology" — Luiza Mkrtchyan, a graduate of the Yerevan State College of Informatics
- "Jewelry" — Hakob Yeshilbashyan, student of Gyumri State Vocational College No. 4
- "Fashion Technology" — Mira Nersisyan, a graduate of the French-Armenian Vocational Training Center
- "Cooking" — Lianna Melkonyan, a graduate of Yerevan Armenian-Greek State College of Tourism, Service and Food Industry.
140,000 visitors came to Eurexpo Lyon from more than 90 countries. Nearly 1,000 journalists, photographers and videographers from around the world attended the event to share the stories of their national champions.
753 medals were awarded, including: 89 gold medals, 71 silver medals, 67 bronze medals, 455 medallions of excellence, 71 medals for the best participant of the National Team.
The opening and closing ceremonies were very grand with around 25,000 guests. Nearly 150,000 people around the world watched telecast coverage of the two ceremonies.
