From WorldSkills Armenia to the international arena. A path to excellence

The "WorldSkills International" journey of Luiza Mkrtchyan and Armine Hakobyan began in 2023: WorldSkills Armenia from the national championship, which became the starting platform of their international competition path. As a result of the selection rounds, they were selected as participants of the Armenian national team in the 47th WorldSkills Lyon 2024 competition with the skills "Web technologies" and "Mobile application development". The competition became an important experience for them to develop their professional skills and form new connections in the WorldSkills community.
In 2025, their skill path continued within the framework of cooperation formed with partners in China. Luisa and Armine were invited to participate in the WorldSkills China 2025 competition in Guangzhou, China for the new skill "Digital Interactive Media Design". According to the results of the competition, Luisa was awarded a silver medal, and Armine was awarded the "Medallion of Excellence".
After the competition, it was decided that this new skill should be included in the National Skills Championship in Armenia.
In 2026, Luisa and Armine were again invited to China to participate in the "Digital Interactive Media Design" professional training program. As a result of working with international experts and gaining new knowledge, they were also involved in the WorldSkills Guangzhou International Exchange Competition, Luisa as a participant and Armine as an expert.
Despite the limited preparation period before the competition, Luiza Mkrtchyan successfully overcame all the competition tasks and won the gold medal, taking first place.
Today, Louisa and Armine's skills journey continues, not only as participants, but also as experience transferers, bearers of new ideas and active representatives of the development of the WorldSkills community in Armenia.
Their path proves that every step starting from the WorldSkills Armenia national championship can turn into an international success, opening a way for young Armenian professionals to develop their abilities, represent Armenia on global professional platforms and contribute to the recognition of the country's professional potential.
