Training courses were held in the first half of 2013
NCVETD continues trainings for the staff of VET schools in the frame of increasing the efficiency of the management of the VET system. During the first half of the year already 1089 teachers and craftsmen, 60 director and deputy directors, 60 members of school management boards have been trained, as well as 25 experts for developing state educational standards.

TRAININGS OF 2012
Training courses were organized and held
Highlighting the role of trained human resources for successful reform in VET system, in 2012 National Centre for VET Development continued trainings for various groups of specialists that are involved in the system or acquainted with it.
The trainings were held in accordance with previously prepared and approved programs and schedule. Following points were taken into consideration while preparing training programs:
— previous training topics of the group and group members’ opinions on included issues,
— identified problems within the monitoring in educational institutions,
— suggestions from educational institutions after previous trainings,
— suggestions of Ministry of Education and Science on mandatory inclusion issues in training programs.

TRAININGS OF 2011
The following training classes were organized and held:
- classes for 158 VET Directors and Deputy Directors, Methodists (by 10 groups).
- training of VET institutions teachers and masters in 2 phases. During the first phase 1028 teachers and masters of 84 educational institutions were trained instead of predetermined 1000, and during the second phase 1125 participants were trained along with monitoring and counseling of implementation process of educational standards, modular educational programs and plans,
- classes for 54 experts, developing state educational standards projects, instead of 30,
- classes for 30 experts developing curricula and modular curricula,
- training of 128 members of boards of management of 12 regional colleges (instead of predetermined 100), including 1-day training for 6 regional colleges,
- classes (8 hour) for 20 trainers (implementing monitoring and counseling) of lecturers and masters of VET institutions: it was implemented by perforce, financial resources were not invested,
- classes for 30 persons implementing VET policy, by 3 phases.

TRAININGS OF 2010
MONITORING AND THE SECOND PHASE OF TRAINING
In November-December, 2010, the second phase of training was held, which was combined with monitoring.
In November-December, 2010, 1204 directors, deputy directors on educational issues, lecturers and masters of 86 preliminary and vocational educational institutions of all marzes of Armenia and Yerevan, implementing modular training, were trained.
COURSE ON “ORGANIZATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS WITH CAPACITY-BUILDING MODULAR PLANS”
In April 2010 in Yerevan 183 directors and deputy directors on educational issues of 93 preliminary and vocational educational institutions were trained.
In the period from April 14 to June 12, 1340 lecturers and masters from 90 preliminary and middle vocational educational institutions participated in the 36-hour training course, named “Organization and Implementation of the Educational Process with Capacity-building Modular Plans”. Highly qualified specialists from NCVETD, as well as from the National Institute of Education, preliminary and middle vocational educational institutions were involved as trainers.

• TRAINING ON “ORGANIZATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS WITH CAPACITY-BUILDING MODULAR PLANS”
On April 6-10, 2009, training of NCVETD staff and independent experts was implemented in National Institution of Education. The training class was held by NCVETD Deputy Director Ashot Sahradyan.
The purpose of the “Organization and Implementation of the Educational Process with Capacity-building Modular Plans” training was to train experts who subsequently held trainings of 545 lecturers, masters, directors and deputy directors of 12 regional and 7 other colleges. in detail (in Armenian)
TRAINING COURSE FOR DEVELOPERS OF STATE EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS OF PRELIMINARY (ARTISAN) AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
Working groups of standard developing 100 experts were approved according to Command N 417 A/Q of the Minister of Education and Science of 06.05.2009.
From May 25 to June 2, 2009, 36-hour training courses for developers of state educational standards of preliminary (artisan) and vocational education were implemented by NCVETD. in detail (in Armenian)
TRAINING COURSE FOR MEMBERS OF SECTORAL COMMITTEES AIMED AT GIVING EXPERT TESTIMONY ON STATE EDUCATIONAL STANDARDS AND EDUCATIONAL-METHODICAL DOCUMENTS OF PRELIMINARY (ARTISAN) AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
On May 25, 2009, the training process of sectoral committees was implemented by NCVETD according to Task N 21-08-08/296 of the Minister of Education and Science of 27.03.2009.
86 members of 13 sectoral committees were trained. Trainings were held from May 25 to June 22. 86 participants were divided into 4 groups; 6 days were prescribed for each group, 6 hours daily. in detail (in Armenian)

From August 15 to November 29, 2008, in the framework of “The Training of Pedagogical Staff of State Preliminary (Artisan) and Vocational Educational Institutions” of the program “Reforms of Preliminary (Artisan) and Vocational Education and Training in Armenia” 90-hour training courses on “Professional Pedagogy” were held in 22 preliminary (artisan) and vocational educational institutions, with the participation of 488 lecturers and masters of over 25 educational institutions.
