Participation of Armenia in “WorldSkills-2015” 43rd International Competition

Armenia joined “WorldSkills” International Organization as an associate member in 2012. National team of Armenia for the first time participated in the 42^nd “WorldSkills” competition held in Leipzig, Germany in 2013. Three skills were performed: Jewelry, Fashion Technology and Cooking.

“WorldSkills-2015” 43^rd International Competition was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil from August 11-16. National team of Armenia participated in the competition with the following skills: Mechatronics, IT Network Systems Administration and Jewelry.

Being associate member Armenia can’t expect any medals according to the regulations of “WorldSkills” International Organization.

The final results details of world teams haven’t been analized. But the results of individual participants are already known. According to them the participant of Jewelry skill Artur Gevorgyan was nominated as Best of Nation and was awarded a medal and a certificate for the best results.

All the members of the National Team got certificates for participation and outstanding contribution in the WorldSkills movement.

The Technical Delegate Lilit Petrosyan was awarded a medal for being a fair and unbiased Jury President for Fashion Technology skill.

Within the framework of the program ”One school, one country” National team of Armenia visited  “Santi’’ school in Sao Paulo.

The meeting was held in a friendly and hospitable atmosphere and the participants exchanged souvenirs.
