HOSTING WITH SALT AND BREAD
On June 14, 2013, the Yerevan Armenian-Greek State College of Tourism, Service and Food Industry opened its welcoming doors to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Greece to the Republic of Armenia Ioannis Taghis. The college administration, professors and students welcomed the ambassador with bread and salt. The students of the college performed a cultural number for the ambassador, the Greek dance "Sirtaki", after which the college was presented through a short tour: the material and technical base, departments, classrooms, laboratories, educational hotel, tasting room, etc. Through the presentation, the ambassador was presented with the activities of the college, the professions and short-term training courses, the advancements in the field of social partnership and international cooperation. The ambassador participated in organized open classes dedicated to the Greek language and Armenian cuisine, where he tasted traditional Armenian dishes prepared by college students. Expressing his satisfaction, the ambassador promised to provide assistance to the college in finding new academic cooperation edges with the educational institutions of the same name in Greece.
