"DEVELOPMENT OF ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS" MODULE
COURSES TRAINING COURSE
With the financing of the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German International Cooperation Company (GIC) in 2017-2020 implements “Private sector development and Vocational Education and Training in the South Caucasus" (MDV VET) program, one of the objectives of which is to promote the advancement of professional qualifications and test the dual (dual) format in the VET system in selected value chains in cooperation with the public and private sectors.
One of the main prerequisites for economic development is the availability of qualified and skilled labor. The program supports the development and modernization of vocational education and training offers that are market-oriented and demanded by the private sector, strengthening cooperation between the private sector and educational institutions.
Today, one of the most important problems of business development in Armenia is the lack of business knowledge. Businesses are often based not on entrepreneurial knowledge, but on some level of professional skills or technology, which often lags far behind market demand.
One of the most important issues for Armenia today is to provide such education for young people, as a result of which they will have a stable place and role in the labor market, thus strengthening the close connection between VET institutions and the private sector.
The introduction of entrepreneurship training in VET institutions has become modern, considering the importance of discovering and developing entrepreneurial thinking among young people.
Entrepreneurship education should be aimed at developing young people's initiative and entrepreneurship skills, promoting creativity and innovation skills and providing them with opportunities to make decisions, plan and manage their own projects.
2015 From November to June 2016, representatives of the "National Center for the Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" Foundation (hereafter SME DAC), the VET DAC and the MRC conducted a pilot study on the development of the educational module "Entrepreneurial Skills Development" and in medium professional state educational institutions. action plan.
Within the framework of that program, 4 VET educational institutions were selected, where the "Entrepreneurial Skills Development" educational module was applied in a pilot program, based on the methodology developed by the SME DAC.
Among the recommendations presented as a result of the implementation and monitoring of the pilot program, the creation of manuals for students, teachers and VET policymakers was also highlighted.
Taking into account the measures of the 2017 activity program of the RA government, it is planned to introduce entrepreneurial training in VET institutions, taking into account the importance of discovering and developing entrepreneurial thinking among young people.
Based on the above, in 2017 Training of Trainers (ToT) of the "Entrepreneurial Skills Development" module will be conducted in November-December.
The main goal is to develop the basic principles of business thinking and behavior, the ability to conduct courses with the use of 3 training manuals and appropriate methodology.
The course content is designed to facilitate the journey from business idea to business for both the trainer, the entrepreneur, and those making decisions based on business plans.
To participate in the training, it is necessary to fill out the Application (the template is attached) and submit it to the National Center for the Development of Vocational Education and Training (Tigran Mets 67, 4th floor, room 407, phone: 57-21-11, coordinator: Lianna Ashughyan) or send in the electronic version at the e-mail address [email protected]
