European VET Skills Week 2016

This year, for the first time, European VET Skills will be held on December 5-9.

Events will be organized and implemented in Brussels and in EU Member States, European Free Trade Association and EU candidate countries at national, regional and local levels.

The purpose of the organized events is to raise the profile and attractiveness of vocational education and training.

Beneficiaries participating in Skills Week 2016 will have the opportunity to share examples of VET excellence, as well as innovative teaching practices, successful vocational programs promoting apprenticeships, skills development and sustainable business-education partnerships.

S.t. On December 7, within the framework of the European VET Skills Week 2016, the National Center for Vocational Education and Training Development, together with the GIZ "Private Sector Development in the South Caucasus" program, organized a round-table discussion dedicated to the development of a possible business-education cooperation model.

The event started with VET skills demonstration. The works of students of the following educational institutions were presented at the exhibition of skills: Yerevan State College of Informatics, Yerevan Regional State College No. 2, Yerevan Armenian-Greek State College of Tourism, Service, and Food Industry, Armavir Regional State College, Yerevan State Vocational School of Decorative Arts, Yerevan Light College of Hematology.

Representatives of VET institutions and the private sector discussed possible solutions and possible options for further sustainable activities for the activities of "WorldSkills Armenia".
