Visit to Poland
Thanks to the joint efforts of Marine Zhamkochian, the president of the Business and Education Partnership Foundation, and Marta Aksentowicz-Bohosewicz, the president of the Armenian Foundation in Poland (Fundacja Ormiańska) in 2021. On July 19-31, a visit to Poland of 20 teenagers aged 11-15 (from Shirak and Kotayk marzes) with family members killed and seriously injured during the 44-day war was organized. Teenagers from the families of students, graduates, professors of Gyumri State Vocational School No. 4 and Yerevan Regional State College No. 1 were included in the group.
It was the purpose of the visit. providing psychological support and alleviating the merciless and cruel pain of the loss caused by the war to the mentioned families and organizing the rest of their children in Poland.
The initiative was supported by Małgorzata Gosiewska, the Vice-President of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, the Ministry of National Defense of Poland, the Armenian community of Poland, and people of Polish nationality who were not indifferent to the initiative for Armenian children.
The intimidation appeared after the war, and the process started already in 2020. from November, which was finally implemented this year. in July.
The children's visit from Armenia was carried out by a military plane specially allocated by the Ministry of National Defense of Poland. The children were seen off at the airport by the Ambassador of Poland to Armenia, Pawel Czeplak, and the President of the "Business and Education Partnership" Foundation, Marine Zhamkochian. The plane landed at the Malborg military airfield, where the Armenian group was welcomed by the Deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament, Mrs. Malgojata Goszewska, the President of the Polish Armenian Foundation, Mrs. Marta Aksentowicz-Bohosewicz, the founder of the same foundation, Mr. Maciej Bohosewicz, and the coordinator, Zofia Bohosewicz.
The children visited a number of historical, cultural, entertainment and sports places, had many meetings. A beach holiday was organized for them, as well as professional orientation events, competitions, games, and expeditions.
The group's tour started in the city of Elblong, then Gdansk, Malborg, Gdynia, the capital Warsaw, Legionowo, Mikoszewo, Czestochowa and Krakow.
The visits also continued to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, where the group was greeted by the vice-president of the Sejm Mrs. Malgojata Goszewska. He greeted the children, showed them around his office, and handed out gifts to the children in the conference room.
