Question 1: Which link in the continuing education system in Armenia prepares vocational personnel, where can initial professional education be organized?
Answer: In Armenia, vocational personnel are trained in pre-vocational (vocational) educational institutions - vocational schools, as well as in secondary vocational educational institutions - colleges. Labor cadres can also be trained in training centers of organizations, in penitentiaries.
Question 2: What reforms are planned in the system of primary (vocational) and secondary professional education in the future?
Answer: Due to the implementation of reforms in the system of primary (vocational) and secondary professional education, an open and democratic system of professional education will be created, the continuous education of the person will be ensured, the quality of educational services will be significantly improved and their compliance with the needs of the economy and the labor market. The efficiency of spending in the education sector will increase, the management and leadership of professional educational institutions will be rationalized, social partnership will be strengthened, the integration of the education sector with international developments will become more complete, and an opportunity will be provided to organize lifelong learning for employees and the unemployed.
Question 3: What kind of educational institutions are secondary professional educational institutions and vocational schools? What is their place in the RA educational system?
Answer: Secondary professional educational institutions - colleges and pre-professional (vocational) educational institutions - vocational schools - are professional educational institutions implementing secondary and pre-professional (vocational) basic and additional educational programs, respectively. Vocational educational programs are aimed at preparing specialists with appropriate qualifications, forming abilities and skills, expanding the scope of knowledge and increasing qualifications through the sequence of general education and professional levels of education.
Vocational schools and colleges are an integral part of the continuing education system of the Republic of Armenia and occupy an intermediate position between educational institutions providing general education and higher professional education.
Question 4: Who can be admitted to secondary professional educational institutions? Answer:
Persons with basic general, secondary, secondary professional and higher education, as well as citizens of foreign countries, can be admitted to secondary professional educational institutions. The latter can be admitted to educational institutions according to the "Regulation on Education of Foreign Citizens in the Republic of Armenia".
Question 5: Who can be admitted to vocational schools?
Answer:Persons with both general and secondary education can be admitted to vocational schools without age restrictions.

Admission to secondary professional educational institutions is made on the basis of the results of the entrance exams, in accordance with the conditions of the competition defined by the admission rules of those educational institutions. Admission to places with paid tuition, with the exception of arts and health professions, is made without exams, based on grades in the subjects of the secondary education certificate (basic general education certificate, vocational technical education diploma insert).
Question 7: How are the entrance examinations of secondary professional educational institutions organized?
Answer: Entrance exams are organized in secondary professional educational institutions according to the procedure established by the RA Ministry of Education and Science. Admission exams are conducted by the subject examining commissions on the basis of the unified standards of knowledge assessment within the framework of the relevant programs approved by the Ministry. Both written and oral exams are scheduled.
Question 8: What kind of professions are taught in vocational schools and vocational schools?
Answer: In the secondary professional educational institutions of the Republic of Armenia, humanitarian, educational, healthcare, culture and art, economics and management, geology, energy, technological, equipment construction, informatics and computer engineering, service, transport operation, chemical, food, consumer goods technologies, construction are taught. , about 110 specialties focused on agriculture, environmental protection, metrology, standardization and quality control.
Question 9: What are the prospects of finding a job for graduates of secondary professional educational institutions and vocational schools?
Answer: Until recent years, as a result of the decline in production, the sharp decrease in the demand for specialists, and the privatization of enterprises, graduates of secondary vocational educational institutions had serious difficulties in finding a suitable job. However, already today, in the conditions of revitalization of the republic's economy, improvement of the socio-economic situation, social partnership and the formation of the employers' class, the demand for graduates of secondary professional and vocational educational institutions in the labor market tends to increase significantly.
Question 10: Do territorial administration and self-government bodies make financial allocations in the secondary and primary vocational education system?
Answer: Territorial management and self-government bodies do not make financial allocations in the secondary vocational education system. Financial means of the institutions are generated mainly from state budget allocations, organization of paid training, as well as the implementation of entrepreneurial activities.
Question 11: Who can work as a lecturer in secondary professional educational institutions?
Answer: Persons with relevant higher education can work as lecturers in secondary professional educational institutions. In exceptional cases, persons with secondary vocational education who possess deep professional knowledge can also work in secondary professional educational institutions.
Question 12: What forms of education are used in secondary professional educational institutions and vocational schools?
Answer: At present, the existing (stationary) and part-time forms of education are implemented in secondary professional educational institutions. In pre-vocational educational institutions, only existing (stationary) training is used.
Question 13: Are transfers from one educational institution to another allowed?
Answer: Transfers from one educational institution to another are carried out with the mutual consent of the directors of secondary vocational educational institutions. Transfers of first-year students are not permitted. Transfer of students from non-state secondary vocational educational institutions to state secondary vocational educational institutions is also not allowed.
Question 14: What types of entrepreneurial activities can the MUMU perform?
Answer: The secondary professional state educational institution, as a state non-commercial organization, can carry out the following types of business activities:
- organization of primary professional (vocational) education, general (full) secondary education (high school),
- the organization of extracurricular education,

- personnel training, requalification and qualification improvement,
