On March 10-16, the RA delegation made a familiarization visit to Germany. The delegation included Deputy Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology Araxia Svajyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports Sisak Gabrielyan, MPs of the National Assembly, Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Inspection Body of Education, National Center for Development of Vocational Education and Training, local and representatives of international organizations. The visit was organized by GIZ.
The purpose of the familiarization visit was to get acquainted with the reforms implemented in the VET sector in Germany, to study the role of the private sector and the experience of dual education.
The first stop of the delegation was the Rheingau Vocational School in Geisenheim, where the Armenian side got acquainted with the German model of management of professional education and training institutions, in particular, the mechanisms for calculating the financing of the training of individual professions, as well as the experience of organizing entrepreneurial activities in the institutions.
In the Teacher Education Center of Goethe University in Frankfurt, the members of the delegation got acquainted with the program of recruitment, training and certification of teachers in the field of VET, career advancement. University experience through education and training and, where appropriate, pilot or pilot programs were presented.
The delegation's next stop was the Hesse Teacher Academy (HLA), which is responsible for teacher training and continuing education in the state of Hesse. The Academy of Teachers works to improve the quality of schools and advises the Ministry of Education and Culture on measures to further develop the school system. Those present at the university got acquainted with the programs of professional development of teachers and trainers.
In Bonn, members of the RA delegation visited the Federal Institute of Vocational Education and Training (BIBB). Processes for non-formal education recognition and validation, assessment and audit planning, and validation of learning outcomes are presented here.
A familiarization visit was also made to the University of Applied Labor Studies in Mannheim, where the RA representatives got acquainted with the German experience of career counseling and job placement. In particular, the role and working methods of the Employment Agency, the forms and methods of professional orientation of young people were presented.
The next visit of the delegation was to the Chamber of Crafts in Frankfurt (HWK) and the Vocational Training and Technology Center in Weiterstadt. The procedures and methods of organization, certification of intermediate and final exams are presented here.
The members of the delegation got acquainted with social partnership and public-private sector cooperation at the ABB training center in Heidelberg. Demand-driven training and qualification programs for the German economy are presented here.
During all meetings there was an exchange of ideas on the localization of German experience, appropriate solutions and application of experience.
