PARTICIPATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA in 2015 at the "World Skills" international competition in Sao Paulo

The Republic of Armenia has been a member of the "Global Skills" international organization since 2012, represented by the National VET Development Center.

Students of VET institutions will have the opportunity to present themselves and compete with students from 65 other countries if they are recognized as winners at the national stage.

In 2015, the 43rd International Competition "Global Skills" will be held in Sao Paulo. Armenia will compete in the following 3 specialties.

  1. Cooking
  2. Fashion technology
  3. Jewelry

In order to prove their skills, candidates must first pass the national competition, which will be conducted in two stages: preliminary and main.

To participate in the pre-election stage of the competition, those students studying in educational institutions with the above-mentioned specialties who:

  1. studying in the second or third year,
  1. have 80% excellent or good progress in vocational modules,
  2. have at least good knowledge of English and Russian languages.

To participate in the competition, the following documents must be submitted:

  1. curriculum vitae (CV),
  2. a certificate signed by the director of the institution regarding the student's academic year and academic progress (the certificate form is attached),
  3. 3 letters of recommendation from the masters of the student's production training as well as the teachers of vocational subjects,
  4. 2 photos of 3X4 size.

The summarized applications of the educational institution to participate in the pre-election stage of the competition must be submitted by the directors of the given institution: French-Armenian Vocational Training Center (Yerevan, Tigran Metsi 38, tel. 57-85-33, 57-84-34), by October 18.

In the preliminary stage of the competition, which will take place this year. On October 22, applicants must pass the following stages:

  1. Written professional test,
  2. A practical exercise that will require you to perform some simple action related to the profession,
  3. An interview during which the applicant's communication and interpersonal skills, his attitude and motivation towards his profession, as well as his knowledge of English and Russian languages ​​will be tested.

Upon receiving a guarantee from the professional committee about passing the preliminary stage of the competition, the student will participate in the main stage of the national competition.

The national competition will be held in Yerevan in 2013. in the 2nd decade of November.

One student will be recognized as a winner in each major.

The students who won the competition in three specialties will have the opportunity to participate in the 2015. at the World Skills competition in Sao Paulo.
