2017 On August 18, a two-day workshop organized within the framework of the "VET Development in Syunik Marz" project, initiated by the RA Ministry of Education and Science and the "Strategic Development Agency" NGO, started in Tsaghkadzor.
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Center for Vocational Education and Training, the State Food Safety Service of the RA Ministry of Agriculture, employers, industry experts, directors and employees of RA agricultural colleges participated in the workshop.
The purpose of the workshop is to present the implementation process of the "VET Development in Syunik Marz" project and the achieved results, as well as to discuss the reformed educational standards and modular programs for the "Milk and Dairy Technology" and "Veterinary Medicine" specialties of secondary vocational education.
Artak Aghbalyan, Head of the Department of Primary / Vocational and Secondary Vocational Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RA, welcomed the participants of the workshop, emphasizing internationalization, revision of curricula, development of professional skills and abilities, expansion of social partnership, development of an effective VET financing system and a number of others as the development directions of the VET sector. questions. The "VET Development in Syunik Marz" project is implemented by the "Strategic Development Agency" NGO and the School of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Sciences of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (HAFL) with the support of the Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER) organization. The objective of the project is to promote the development of vocational education and advisory services in the agricultural sector and to provide market-oriented practical education in the fields of veterinary medicine, milk processing and the provision of advisory services to farmers.
